We I have really been missing healthy grocery stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joes. Uzbekistan has loads of white bread and white rice and although they have some great markets in the spring/summer the veggies are not so good in the summer! That is where Thrive Market comes in! I am able to get brown rice, quinoa, lentils etc. Now if I could just figure out a way to ship sweet potatoes, avocadoes, kale, mangos and pineapples I’d be set!

Mission Statement:

"Thrive is a membership community that uses the power of direct buying to deliver the world’s best healthy food and natural products to our members at wholesale prices and to sponsor free Thrive memberships for low-income American families."

I’m really impressed with this company. They are offering natural, healthy products at good prices as well as helping people in need. Normally I wouldn’t be quick to sign up for something with a membership fee however, your first month is free plus 15% off your first order! On top of that every order you place over $49 receives FREE shipping! This is very important in our lifestyle where every little shipping cost adds up! I’ve been buying a lot of products through Amazon (Prime) or Amazon Pantry. If you compare the Prime Membership now $99 or Pantry shipping $5.99/order Thrive beats the competition! The products also tend to be a little cheaper! I’ve started to notice that even though Amazon offers “free” shipping for Prime members, I think they add it back into the total cost (my opinion). Here’s a nice image that they have on their website that compares some items between another store and themselves.

A few of my favorite products so far are:
  • Chocolove Bars (ordered these in the winter so they wouldn’t melt during shipping)
  • Redmond Real Salt Fine Salt
  • TruRoots Organic Sprouted Quinoa Trio
  • Alter Eco Royal Rainbow Quinoa
  • Krave Beef Jerky - Sweet Chipotle
  • Krave Beef Jerky - Garlic Chili Pepper
  • TruRoots Organic Sprouted Green Lentils
Just Mayo Garlic Mayo(Just 8 oz so I was able to get 1 of each bottle through the pouch!)
