Though we have changed directions of our blog slightly, we are still writing about our lives and experiences here in Ghana.  The past days here have seen a lot of surge rains and many people lost their lives.  In addition, a gas station was engulfed in flames killing nearly 150 people who were taking shelter from the storm.  Our thoughts, love and support are with Ghana and we hope our friends and Ghana family stays safe.

I personally recognize the irony between media coverage of the flooding in my home city of Houston vs. that of Accra.

We do on occasion forget in our expat bubble with generators and a roof that shockingly didn't leak at all, that many are without.  Think of Ghana tonight.
